Are We Getting A New Venue In The Valley?!

Let's face it,  the Lehigh Valley needs more music venues. Hopefully, that may be about to change!

Steel Stacks is great and The Sands Event Center isn't too bad either, and Penn's Peak is way out there in Jim Thorpe. Other than those, we don't really have any other music venues in The LV. Things are starting to change though. One Center Square will be opening up later this month in Easton, and now Allentown is planning on opening up one of their own venue as well.

According to lehighvalleylive.com, Allentown plans on opening up a new concert venue and entertainment complex downtown near the PPL center at the corner 7th and Hamilton. They are basically trying to replace Croc Rock. According to the developer Jerry Deifer Jr who helped out with the Sands Event Center and also helped book talent for Croc Rock,  "There was a void in this size of a venue," Deifer said. "There are a lot of artists that aren't able to tour in this circuit."

I couldn't agree more. Can you imagine not having to go to Philly for every show? It'd be pretty awesome. It'd be like our own TLA or Fillmore! This venue would be huge for not only Allentown but the entire Lehigh Valley. You can read the whole article HERE!

P.S. I STILL think that The Boyd in Bethlehem should be a music venue too.
