For those that don’t know Brendon Urie has been dabbling on Broadway both on stage and behind the scenes. The Panic! at The Disco frontman starred in “Kinky Boots” for a brief stint, where he rocked some crazy hight heeled boots! But Brendon also worked on another Broadway musical. He helped write and compose some of the songs for “Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical”.
Yes they turned “Spongebob” into a musical, but it’s actually really good and even nominated for a TONY! If you’re not aware of what that is, it’s the equivalent to a GRAMMY or OSCAR. The musical was nominated for ‘Best Original Score’, on which Urie and other big artists assisted, so technically, Brendon Urie is nominated for a TONY! Congrats Brendon!

Fun fact: The Last Panic! at The Disco album Death Of A Bachelor was nominated for a GRAMMY for ‘Best Rock Album’. There’s a new P!aTD album coming out next month, maybe this one will get a GRAMMY nod too.
Another fun fact: Back in 2016, our own Riley Reed talked to Brendon Urie about whether he would ever pursue a career in Broadway. You can watch that whole interview below. The Broadway part is towards the end.
